What's Happening

From the Principal's Office:
Good Afternoon MS Parents and Families,

Happy Monday and welcome back from the weekend!

Thanksgiving Break:
I can hardly believe that I am saying this, but this is my last parent update before Thanksgiving Break. All of our teachers are pushing hard this week to get as much done as we possibly can before we send our students off for break. If your child is failing classes, please encourage them to use this week (as well as their break) wisely so that they can get all of their classwork turned in. When we return from break, there will only be 3.5 weeks left in the quarter. Time is definitely of the essence so please encourage your child to make the most of the time we have remaining.

Parent Teacher Conferences:
Thank you to everyone who attended our scheduled conferences last Thursday. I witnessed many quality conversations and I am excited at the plans that were put in place.

For anyone who was not involved with the scheduled conferences, we will be holding Open Conferences on Tuesday, November 14 from 4-7 p.m. in the MS Field House. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Veteran’s Day Assembly:
Thank you so much to the Veterans and community members who were able to attend last week’s Veteran’s Day Assembly. It was an honor to host these very important guests and I know that our students benefited greatly from the event and the question/answer session that followed (8th graders were involved with this). My hope is that the vets who attended will be able to attend in the future and that we will be able to continue building the event in size and scope as the years progress.

That’s all for now.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!

Jason Taylor

                                          STUDENT DROP OFF
Parents please utilize the drop off lanes when dropping off students unless you are planning to walk them to their building. Students are being dropped off in the parking lot which is creating a dangerous situation as they walk across the lanes of traffic. If you are walking your child to their school, please use the cross walk.
